Extra insurance is available for some services, but not for others. This is made very clear at the time of booking. We would also advise that you check our prohibited items page before booking your collection to make sure your goods are eligible for travel on an insured service. Basically this means that your parcel will be billed at either the actual weight, or on the size of the box, whichever is greater. You do not need to worry about this as the postage calculator does all of this working out when you obtain a quote.
