Insuring Your Parcel |
|
General Information.
All of the courier services that you will be offered come with a standard insurance of £50.00. Should you wish to enhance this cover, you will be offered a chance to do this at the time of ordering.
Maximum Enhanced Cover.
The maximum amount of enhanced transit cover available to you is up to £2500.00. Any consignment that is sent with a higher insurable value is sent at your own risk.
Any extended cover wil be taken out with CNA insurance. If you don not take any extra insurance then you are only covered by the couriers standard liability of £50.00.

Your Insurance Claim.
Whether you use the standard insurance or opt for the extra transit cover, the insurance you have is either with the courier if you have not taken extra insurance, or with CNA Insurance if you have taken extended cover and not postagesupermarket. Any claims that are paid out will be paid to our account and we will forward a cheque to you for the full amount. We do not offer a credit note policy.
 Time Frame for Dealing With Claims.
If you have not opted for extra postal insurance then the couriers will normally take 28 working days to process your claim. If you have taken extended cover then we aim to have all claims completed within 28 days ( including weekends ).

Making a Claim.
A claim can be submitted using our claims form located on every page, or using the following link - Claims Form. Please be aware that we cannot process any claim for lost consignments unless the courier has confirmed it to be lost. If the contents of your consignment are insufficiently packed, or on our Prohibited Items List, then we will not be able to process your claim. This also applies to damaged shipments. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
What You Need To Supply To Support Your Claim.
In the event of an claim ( damage or loss ), we will require the following information:
COST invoice for goods sent.
Photograpghs of damage AND packaging ( on damage claims only ).
Confirmation that damaged goods can or cannot be repaired, if they can be a repair invoice must be supplied.

When to Inform Us
Damage Claims
We need to know about damage claims within 24 hours of delivery. We have a very strict time frame to report damage to the couriers, please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.
Lost Claims
In the rare event that your consignment is lost by the carrier, we need to process the claim within 5 working days of the carrier declaring your consignment as lost. The claims form will ask you for cost invoices (not sales invoices) for the contents of the consignment so we can process the claim. We are unable to deal with any claim that does not have this information with it. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
