Parcelforce was founded in 1990 from a delivery subsection of the then government owned Royal Mail. To this day it is still owned by the Royal Mail and operates from it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. Interestingly, the parent company of Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group LTD) also own part of GLS (General Logistics Systems). Basically this means that your parcel will be billed at either the actual weight, or on the size of the box, whichever is greater.
