DHL - a division of "Deutsche Post" was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters in Bonn, Germany. We find that some packages, especially where you may have a long and heavy parcel can be cheapest to send using TNT. For example, a long and heavy parcel (1.75m and 15Kg) can be sent to Cyprus for under £54! This surely must be the cheapest postal service available worldwide! Parcelforce was founded in 1990 from a delivery subsection of the then government owned Royal Mail. To this day it is still owned by the Royal Mail and operates from it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. Interestingly, the parent company of Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group LTD) also own part of GLS (General Logistics Systems). GLS are one delivery network that operate throughout Europe and Internationally. In our experience, parcels sent using Parcelforce can have less customs problems and hold-ups, primarily because the same parent company controls the delivery company from when your package is collected, right through to its European or International destination.
