DHL - a division of "Deutsche Post" was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters in Bonn, Germany. To compare, the DHL Euro service is a road parcel delivery. Your parcel will be collected by DHL Express and shipped to its destination using the DHL Road network. TNT is another highly professional courier service. They were founded in 1946 in Australia by one man, Ken Thomas, using a single delivery truck! TNT drivers are very helpful and the company prides itself on the smart public appearance. Like the other two service providers, DHL and Parcelforce, TNT offer International, European and UK deliveries. We find that some packages, especially where you may have a long and heavy parcel can be cheapest to send using TNT. For example, a long and heavy parcel (1.75m and 15Kg) can be sent to Cyprus for under £54! This surely must be the cheapest postal service available worldwide! All TNT services are trackable and you can easily book and pay for your parcel online. We will then send you any documentation you need to print and attach to your package. Simply wait for the instantly recognisable TNT vehicle to arrive and collect your package!

Parcelforce was founded in 1990 from a delivery subsection of the then government owned Royal Mail. To this day it is still owned by the Royal Mail and operates from it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. Interestingly, the parent company of Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group LTD) also own part of GLS (General Logistics Systems). GLS are one delivery network that operate throughout Europe and Internationally. In our experience, parcels sent using Parcelforce can have less customs problems and hold-ups, primarily because the same parent company controls the delivery company from when your package is collected, right through to its European or International destination. We have designed and created systems to talk to each individual carriers website to obtain the very latest tracking information for your consignments. To access this data simply log into your parcel club account, click on the account overview button and select the tracking button next to the consignment you are tracking. You will then get all the latest information directly from the carrier themselves.

When using postagesupermarket, we strongly recommend you look at our prohibited items page. The reason being is that our carriers will only send certain goods. All goods listed as prohibited items can still be sent with us, but there will be no claim if they arrive damaged.

Most of the couriers we use bill us on what is called the volumetric weight of your parcel.  This basically means that it depends on the size of your parcel rather than the actual weight as to how much you will pay for the shipment.
