DHL - a division of "Deutsche Post" was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters in Bonn, Germany. TNT is another highly professional courier service. They were founded in 1946 in Australia by one man, Ken Thomas, using a single delivery truck! We find that some packages, especially where you may have a long and heavy parcel can be cheapest to send using TNT. All TNT services are trackable and you can easily book and pay for your parcel online. We will then send you any documentation you need to print and attach to your package. Parcelforce was founded in 1990 from a delivery subsection of the then government owned Royal Mail. To this day it is still owned by the Royal Mail and operates from it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. Interestingly, the parent company of Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group LTD) also own part of GLS (General Logistics Systems). GLS are one delivery network that operate throughout Europe and Internationally. In our experience, parcels sent using Parcelforce can have less customs problems and hold-ups, primarily because the same parent company controls the delivery company from when your package is collected, right through to its European or International destination. Advice for packing your consignment is a tricky area. Only you will know if the packaging is sufficient for the goods you are sending. Basically if you have packaged the item in its box for sending and it rattles around when you shake the box it is not good enough. The box must be able to withstand a small fall. The reason for this is that the carrier may drop the box at any stage. However please rest assured that the greatest of care is taken with all of your packages.

Extra insurance is available for some services,  but not for others.  This is made very clear at the time of booking.  We would also advise that you check our prohibited items page before booking your collection to make sure your goods are eligible for travel on an insured service.  If your goods appear on this list, we cannot process any claim for damage.  We are also unable to deliver to PO box addresses.  Please contact us via the contact us form if you have a delivery address with a PO box in it.
