Parcelforce was founded in 1990 from a delivery subsection of the then government owned Royal Mail. To this day it is still owned by the Royal Mail and operates from it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. Interestingly, the parent company of Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group LTD) also own part of GLS (General Logistics Systems). GLS are one delivery network that operate throughout Europe and Internationally. When sending consignments through global delivery agent networks, you need to pack each box in a professional manner.  We can offer you advice on this subject, however you should basically pack your items so that they can withstand a small fall from around waist height, just in case your box should be dropped for any reason.  Also be aware that at some point your box will be stacked, so it is very likely that other consignments will be stacked on top of it.
