DHL - a division of "Deutsche Post" was founded in 1969 and has its headquarters in Bonn, Germany. To compare, the DHL Euro service is a road parcel delivery. Your parcel will be collected by DHL Express and shipped to its destination using the DHL Road network. TNT is another highly professional courier service. They were founded in 1946 in Australia by one man, Ken Thomas, using a single delivery truck! TNT drivers are very helpful and the company prides itself on the smart public appearance. Like the other two service providers, DHL and Parcelforce, TNT offer International, European and UK deliveries. We find that some packages, especially where you may have a long and heavy parcel can be cheapest to send using TNT. For example, a long and heavy parcel (1.75m and 15Kg) can be sent to Cyprus for under £54! This surely must be the cheapest postal service available worldwide! All TNT services are trackable and you can easily book and pay for your parcel online. We will then send you any documentation you need to print and attach to your package. Simply wait for the instantly recognisable TNT vehicle to arrive and collect your package!

Parcelforce was founded in 1990 from a delivery subsection of the then government owned Royal Mail. To this day it is still owned by the Royal Mail and operates from it's headquarters in Milton Keynes. Interestingly, the parent company of Parcelforce (Royal Mail Group LTD) also own part of GLS (General Logistics Systems). GLS are one delivery network that operate throughout Europe and Internationally. In our experience, parcels sent using Parcelforce can have less customs problems and hold-ups, primarily because the same parent company controls the delivery company from when your package is collected, right through to its European or International destination. Parcelforce vehicles are instantly recognisable with their smart red livery and white lettering - featuring the top of a globe. This livery can be seen on Parcelforce Vans, Lorries and even Aeroplanes. It is a worldwide sign that your parcels are in good hands!

Tracking the goods you ship through postagesupermarket could not be easier. Simply log into your account and go to the account overview section. There you will see a list of all the shipments you have sent. Each one will have a track now button next to it. Simply click this button and you will be provided with a printable page that will hold all of the latest tracking information.

All couriers that carry parcels work on a volumetric pricing system. Basically this means that they measure and weigh all of the boxes that they carry through their networks. They will use the size of the parcel to obtain a volumetric weight. They will compare this to the actual weight and bill us whichever is greater. You do not really need to have a great understanding of this process as the website does it all for you, however we like to give you all the information needed when looking at sending parcels with international couriers.
